A large oak tree with an 80-foot
drip line sits in the very middle of Yla's long lot. Five smaller oaks
dance in a parabolic arc just beyond the mighty oak's canopy. The house
is sited in concert with this geometry, so that ev ery interior space
can look out as the oaks perform their wind and light symphonies. Yla
does not remember ever seeing the same melody twice.
